Why this domain exists, how the tool works, and what we mean when we say "browser-first." Honest answers to the questions you'd ask if we were across the table.
FyShot exists because screenshot work is studio work. You walk in with a raw shot — a captured screen, a thing that looks unfinished — and you walk out with something ready to ship: annotated for a tutorial, framed in an iPhone for a marketing page, sized for the App Store, redacted for a public bug report. Most online screenshot tools fight the metaphor: they stop at capture-and-share, or they bury the marketing toolkit behind a $29 lifetime license, or they're Mac-only.
fyshot.com is built page-by-page around the actual jobs people walk into a studio for. 'Annotate this screenshot.' 'Mock up an iPhone for the landing page.' 'Generate App Store sizes.' 'Blur the sensitive bit.' Each is a specific search; each gets its own page, framed in the language of the query, with the rest of the studio quietly available when the work grows.
A studio isn't a capture tool. It's a focused space where a raw shot becomes something ready to ship — annotated, mocked up, sized, redacted, on its way to a marketing page or an App Store listing.
Most of FyShot runs entirely in your browser. Annotation, manual blur and redact, device mockups, beautify with backgrounds and shadows, the base App Store iPhone size, raster export — all on-device, processed by WebAssembly the moment a screenshot lands in the workspace. No upload. No 'we have your screenshot for the next 30 days' clause buried in a privacy policy. The pixels don't leave the tab; refreshing clears state.
A handful of operations need cloud chemistry — AI redaction for auto-detecting PII (emails, IDs, names, account numbers), animation export from screenshot sequences, full destination bundles, PDF/SVG export, and cloud project sync. Those run through the FyTools backend and save cloud outputs through FyDrive where the tier includes storage. We label which tools work which way with a small icon on every tool card. Never assume. Always show.
Every browser-first tool — annotate, manual blur/redact, device mockups (current generation), beautify with full styling controls, the base 6.7" iPhone App Store size — is free forever with no signup, no watermark on exports, no daily-task cap. If you're shipping the occasional shot for a tutorial, a marketing page, or your first App Store listing, the free tier covers it.
Cloud Pro adds the things a marketing studio would charge a service rate for: full destination bundles (iPhone, iPad, Play, Microsoft), AI redaction for batch privacy work, animation export, all device mockups, brand kits, PDF/SVG export, and cloud project sync. Team adds shared cloud-project access where organization permissions are enabled.
FyShot is one of five focused fronts for the FyTools utility suite. The full toolkit lives at fy.tools, and the broader Fyboard platform — contracts, knowledge, automation, payroll — at fyboard.com.
Same team. Same browser-first architecture. Same pricing model. Different doors — so the search intent and the landing always match up. FyShot on fyshot.com; the whole toolkit on fy.tools; the broader platform on fyboard.com.
